I’m still trying to figure out how Swarm’s bees managed to kill pinpoint like that. Stung to death, sure, THAT i could buy…but strip him down to a skeleton in a matter of seconds?
Ehh… I dunno… I tend to avoid things that get hyped by a ‘subculture’ too many bad run-ins, especially with things that are considered ‘So underground they’re mainstream!’
If you’d told me about watchmen before the movie I’d probably give it it’s due, but now, not likely, too many people would try to tell me how to think on the topic.
So….he’s leaving the fight? That seems extremely out of character, since, y’know, he loves fighting and ripped a guy in half for kicks. I hope I’m wrong, though.
Mord_Sith: You should read Watchmen. Who cares what other people are telling you about it? Even if you don’t like it, it’s an important piece of fiction, and possibly the most important graphic novel ever written. The movie is well made, too, and stands at the top spot on my list of favorite films.
It’s not what people tell me now, it’s what people tell me about what to think about it AFTER I’ve watched/read it, you’ve seen them before, the folks who can’t understand an opinion beyond their own to save their lives.
The Internet tends to be rife with them, so I generally avoid things that have gone through the hype-machine until either long after the main body of popularity has died off again in search of the next big thing or just simply never bother to watch / read.
You’ll probably never read Watchmen, then. It’s in the same Internet Fandom category as Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Star Trek, and Pokemon. The hype’s not going away, so you might as well read it.
D’awwww…someone needs a hug.
So the Sociopath-murderer who beats people in back alleys for kicks goes philosophical?
Jesus Murphey, I never figured him for the sensitive type.

Chaotik74, ever see a buch of army ants strip something organic down? Samething, samething…bad way to go…eaten alive.
Mord_Sith, you should look into a character called Rorschach from The Watchmen, you pretty much just described him.
chaotik74, youtube “Chinese Flesh Eating Wasp”, ignore the cheesy music, and then multiply that by thousands.

None of us really has to read or watch anything we don’t want, unless it suits our whim of the moment. Silly…
