Last time we saw our ol’ pal Firewall he was face-up on a cold metal slab, right before Wynn and the gang received the devastating news about the c-virus. But why is Ronald “Firewall” Ross being held at the compound? Who was Firewall messaging with at the end of issue #2?
This page should answer your suspicions. He was a double-agent all along, though torn between the two sides. Ultimately, his decisions and Wynn’s recklessness has left Firewall dead. And Wynn a murderer. The “villains” clearly have the upperhand. The mole removed. The bear captured. Wynn M.I.A.

Also, Dotcom brings up a good point that I’d like to clarify right now: Firewall is not returning as a zombie. This is a visual thing.
Dotcom — I bet a nickel that while Firewall’s meatware has been deprecated, his software is still in the system somewhere. A literal ghost in the machine…
